Let’s just say that the Greystone Golf Club is a beautiful place to get married on a gorgeous fall day.  Ainsley & Matt actually did extensive research on the perfect time of year for their location.  And what a perfect day it was

You all know I’m a big fan of SHARP, COLOURFUL photos… and this wedding had a whole of that. The light, colours, landscape, and details made my job really fun that day!  I hope all the best for Ainsley & Matt and in their marriage!  Having spent the day with them and their family… there’s no doubt that they have the support from everyone around them and that’s a great way to start their journey together.

HOLY!  I haven’t blogged in like 2 weeks.  SORRY loyal and lovely blog readers. I definitely had “THE SAD” during those rainy weeks.  I truly wanted to do nothing… (and I kinda did since all my shoots were being cancelled because of the poor weather).  NO sun = depressed Mel.  I love SUN!!!  Thankfully it came out for Catherine & Bart’s session on Wednesday.

Catherine & I go way back… to when she first booked me to do a Christmas family session at her parents house (2 years in a row).  Then I recently photographed her best friends wedding (Melissa & Adam).  She was eager to get her own session in and booked it with us early this summer for September.  She was hoping to potentially hit the water in her wedding dress.  BUT, when the rain started and then the cold…  We scratched that.  Finally, almost a month later, everything fell into place – weather, time, location.  But NO dress this time (just a little too cold).  Maybe next summer?

These two are so fun and great for each other.  I think you’ll agree when you see these photos.  Enjoy!  (ps. Justin’s working on their short film, but I really couldn’t wait to post the photos)!

After canceling two shoots this week because of all this rain and cold weather… I needed some good news.  And I got it!  theWeddingRing Magazine was ready for pickup!  When they contacted me early this summer about featuring Clair & Kiran’s wedding I said “Absolutely NOT”… Just kidding.  I’m pretty sure I typed “That’s great!!!”.  It’s always so fun to see your work in print!

Yesterday, I dropped by theWeddingRing’s new office / loft / cool place to take photos and picked up my copies.  Of course I am so thrilled to see my photos published that I needed to share them with you!
